We are a concrete cleaning and sealing company. As former stamped concrete contractors (16 years), we understand the correct way to ensure a proper installation, the color option alternatives, shortcuts, and sub-standard industry practices quite common in the industry. Every day is a new day at Bristol County Sealing Company (BCSC). However, in our daily travels, we always see decorative concrete issues, day in and day out, and it’s disheartening. The customer we meet have the same concerns, just the faces change daily, but the decorative, stamped, or exposed aggregate concrete sealer doesn’t change.

This applies to Conventional Concrete, Stamped Concrete, and Exposed Aggregate pool patios, driveways, and walkways. Stamped concrete and exposed aggregate have similar issues, due to substandard cheap or wrong type of sealers, coupled with substandard processes - practices and unethical practices.

Unfortunately, about 65% of the projects we look at are not a good fit, as they have aesthetic severe issues. Concrete sealer issues are quite common, especially with stamped concrete pool patios, driveways, and walkways. To be brief, here are the most common reasons for substantial sealer issues developed with customer concrete projects. 1. Cheap sealers-customers and contractors buy sealers that are recommended by vendors!

*Contractors who say they seal stamped concrete should be dictating the sealer they buy and use on your stamped, Exposed aggregate, or regular concrete project.

2. The application process is crucial, as placing too much sealer is truly problematic and creates about 60% of the issues and when coupled with a cheap sealer, then accounts for about 80% of the issues.

3. Wrong type of sealer results in incompatibility issues, which is devastating and results in your stamped concrete project never looking the same as when it was installed new. This accounts for about 15% of all issues.
